Off the Easel

The original paintings behind the Calypso Star Lenormand, photographed in the studio where they were made.

Each canvas appears straight-on for the whole composition, angled so you can judge its size in the room, and once close over the impasto — followed by the card, or cards, cut from it. Several cards are pieces taken out of the same painting.

Photographed under daylight-balanced light. Colour on screen varies by display; the angled frames give the truest sense of scale.
